Job Title: Learning & Development Business Analyst – LMS Transformation
Location: Remote (U.S.)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff)

About the Opportunity

ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Business Analyst to support a large-scale Learning Management System (LMS) transformation for a major global industrial and building-technology organization.

You will partner with Learning & Development, Technology, Operations, and LMS vendors to define requirements, evaluate current processes, design future-state solutions, and coordinate functional testing. This role bridges business and technical teams and is critical to a successful LMS transition.

What You’ll Do:

Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
Document current-state and future-state business processes.
Analyze current workflows and conduct time studies to identify process-improvement and automation opportunities.
Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to design and implement scalable solutions.
Develop and execute functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Validate system functionality, track defects, and support issue resolution.
Assist with data validation, migration activities, and implementation readiness.
Support development of operational processes and standard work for the future LMS environment.
Support change readiness across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role.
Experience implementing, administering, or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS) or a comparable enterprise platform.
Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
Experience developing and executing functional and UAT plans.
Strong process-mapping and business-process-improvement skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements for technical teams.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior LMS transformation or enterprise software deployment experience.
Experience identifying automation opportunities in L&D / HR administration processes.
Experience working with LMS vendors during implementation.
