About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Business Analyst to support a large-scale Learning Management System (LMS) transformation for a major global industrial and building-technology organization.
You will partner with Learning & Development, Technology, Operations, and LMS vendors to define requirements, evaluate current processes, design future-state solutions, and coordinate functional testing. This role bridges business and technical teams and is critical to a successful LMS transition.
What You’ll Do:
- Gather, document, and maintain business requirements, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes.
- Analyze current workflows and conduct time studies to identify process-improvement and automation opportunities.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to design and implement scalable solutions.
- Develop and execute functional testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate system functionality, track defects, and support issue resolution.
- Assist with data validation, migration activities, and implementation readiness.
- Support development of operational processes and standard work for the future LMS environment.
- Support change readiness across the organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience implementing, administering, or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS) or a comparable enterprise platform.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Experience developing and executing functional and UAT plans.
- Strong process-mapping and business-process-improvement skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements for technical teams.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior LMS transformation or enterprise software deployment experience.
- Experience identifying automation opportunities in L&D / HR administration processes.
- Experience working with LMS vendors during implementation.
