About the Job
Job Title: Epic Radiant Team Lead
Location: Remote (U.S. — PST hours) | Minimal travel to San Francisco (~2x/year)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an Epic Radiant Team Lead to lead ongoing application support for a major academic healthcare organization.

This is a support leadership role — not an implementation project seat. You will supervise a team of 6 full-time employees and 1 contractor, own Radiant support quality, and partner with clinical users on radiology workflows. Work is remote with PST hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific) and limited on-site travel.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead day-to-day Epic Radiant support for clinical users (not a net-new implementation assignment).
  • Supervise 6 full-time employees and 1 contractor, including priorities, performance, and workload.
  • Provide application leadership across Radiant design, build, testing, and ongoing optimization.
  • Support clinicians using knowledge of radiology processes, documentation needs, workflows, and practice standards.
  • Adapt application configuration to meet clinical needs and help create or update written protocols.
  • Prepare detailed specifications covering clinical processes, information flow, risk, and impact analysis.
  • Provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance for production Radiant issues.
  • Formulate support strategies and administer team policies, processes, and resources with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Analyze unique, unstructured production and workflow issues and drive resolution.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience supporting the Epic Radiant module (support experience required — implementation-only backgrounds will not be a fit).
  • Active / Current Epic Radiant Certification (required).
  • Demonstrated application leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated supervisory / people-management experience (this role supervises 6 FTEs + 1 contractor).
  • Strong understanding of radiology / imaging clinical workflows.
  • Ability to write clear clinical and technical specifications.
  • Ability to work remote on a PST schedule (Mon–Fri, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific).
  • Ability to travel to San Francisco approximately twice per year.
  • Must complete required full medical clearance (required for remote, hybrid, and on-site candidates).
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Epic Cupid Certification (strongly desired).
  • Prior leadership of an Epic application support team in an academic or large health-system environment.
  • Experience partnering directly with radiologists, imaging operations, and clinical informatics.
