About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a Technical Product Manager for enterprise network and infrastructure platforms at a major passenger-rail organization in Washington, DC.

You will drive a Platform as a Product model across connectivity, secure/compliant access, reliability, and continuous operations — mentoring Product Owners on an ART and turning portfolio vision into multi-year roadmaps. Generic software PMs without infrastructure/networking depth will not be a fit.

What You’ll Do:
  • Build and execute multi-year product strategy aligned to enterprise and technology roadmaps.
  • Prioritize features and stories across technical product teams (value, risk, feasibility, feedback).
  • Mentor Product Owners on the Agile Release Train and translate portfolio goals into backlogs.
  • Partner with executives, Engineering, Architecture, Agility Enablement, and operations.
  • Champion SAFe: cadence, PI Planning, and agile maturity.
  • Define and report KPIs and operational success metrics.
  • Bridge business outcomes with networking/infrastructure topics.
  • Advocate ITSM and enterprise change-management practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • 12+ years technical product management / product leadership.
  • Deep background in IT infrastructure, enterprise networking, and distributed architecture.
  • Working knowledge of firewalls, cloud connectivity, VLANs, network segmentation, access security, and operational availability.
  • Strong ITSM, operational readiness, and formal change management.
  • Hands-on SAFe (POPM strongly preferred).
  • Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, FigJam, AgilityHealth.
  • Executive communication, workshop facilitation, and data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s in CS, IT, Engineering, or equivalent senior experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active SAFe POPM.
  • ITIL.
  • Passenger rail, transportation, or other operationally critical infrastructure environments.
