About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Snowflake Data Platform Architect for an enterprise analytics platform at a global technology services firm.
You will work as a Snowflake SME with Platform Architects and senior technical leaders on analytics data architecture, dimensional modeling, reporting enablement, ELT onboarding, and enterprise data integration. This is a hands-on Snowflake architecture seat—not a report-only BI role.
What You’ll Do:
- Support onboarding of systems and domains into Snowflake.
- Design analytics-ready data models and semantic views to platform standards.
- Build and guide ELT ingestion pipelines and enterprise data tooling.
- Enable BI / reporting on Power BI or Sigma.
- Partner on Snowflake platform design, administration, and integration with enterprise SaaS sources.
- Escalate major architectural trade-offs and risks to Platform Architects.
- Contribute to emerging platform capabilities (including Snowflake Cortex where useful).
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture.
- 3+ years hands-on Snowflake in enterprise environments.
- Strong Snowflake administration and platform expertise.
- Advanced SQL and relational data warehousing.
- Proven dimensional modeling and semantic data layers.
- ELT-based ingestion pipelines.
- Ability to work on-site in Milwaukee, WI.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Power BI or Sigma enablement.
- Salesforce Data Cloud / Data 360 and Salesforce data models.
- Exposure to Snowflake Cortex (not required as a specialist).
- Large multi-team enterprise environments.
- SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced Architect, or other Snowflake certs.
