About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior UKG & SAP Integration Engineer to support a high-profile enterprise integration program for a major national transportation organization in Washington, DC.
You will lead technical design, configuration, and end-to-end integration of UKG Pro Workforce Management (ProWFM / Workforce Central) with core SAP HR, Payroll, and Finance systems. This role builds and maintains integration pipelines using Dell Boomi and Workforce Integration Manager (WIM), with a strong focus on payroll-to-finance posting, testing, and complex data-flow resolution in a highly regulated operations environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise interfaces connecting UKG ProWFM to SAP HR / Payroll / Finance using Dell Boomi (AtomSphere) and WIM.
- Configure and optimize core UKG time and attendance modules, pay/work rules, accruals, absence management, and holiday/scheduling building blocks.
- Analyze end-to-end data flows from time capture through payroll and SAP finance posting; drive data validation and troubleshooting using complex SQL.
- Support end-to-end and regression testing across HR, Payroll, and Finance teams, including cutover and post-go-live stabilization.
- Create Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical designs, and operational runbooks.
- Track defects and delivery timelines in Jira.
- Resolve complex integration and data issues across large-scale, regulated operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with UKG ProWFM / Workforce Central configuration (Time & Attendance, Pay Rules, Accruals) and WIM interface development.
- 5+ years of Dell Boomi experience (mapping, transformations, error handling) plus file-based and API integrations (REST, XML, CSV, SFTP).
- Proven track record integrating UKG with SAP HR, Payroll, and Finance, including payroll-to-finance posting.
- Strong SQL skills for data reconciliation and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting complex, unionized, or operations-focused workgroups in large, highly regulated environments.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with operations-based workforce tools (ATDA, Yardmasters, TeleStaff) or expanded UKG modules (Advanced Scheduler, Forecasting, Workforce Process Manager).
- Hands-on experience executing SAP regression testing and cutover planning in structured IT frameworks.
