Location: Washington, DC (100% on-site)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)
Duration: October 26, 2026 – April 26, 2027 (extension or FTE conversion possible)

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a Senior IT Asset Manager SME to support enterprise IT services for a federal civilian agency environment in Washington, DC.
This is a hands-on, on-site hardware asset-lifecycle seat—not a remote BA. You will own inventory accuracy across AssetTrack, ServiceNow HAM, APM, and Sunflower, including physical tagging, warehouse work, and audits at multiple DC sites.

What You’ll Do:
  • Manage hardware and IT asset inventories across customer locations.
  • Add, assign, update, and track assets in AssetTrack, ServiceNow HAM, APM, and Sunflower.
  • Build and maintain Excel trackers and PDF documentation for audits, acquisitions, transfers, and retirements.
  • Perform on-site physical inventory: lift, unpack, tag, transfer, and retire hardware.
  • Support scheduled and ad-hoc audits, data validation, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate spare stock across warehouses, image labs, and stockrooms with federal leads.

Required Qualifications:
  • 12+ years IT Asset Management / Configuration Management with a bachelor’s or high school diploma plus 15+ years relevant ITAM (source allows HS + 5; we will still screen for real ITAM depth).
  • 5+ years IT support in a Windows office environment.
  • 3+ years ServiceNow and/or enterprise asset tools (AssetTrack, APM, Sunflower, ServiceNow HAM)
  • Able to perform physical inventory work on-site at multiple Washington, DC locations.
  • 100% on-site in Washington, DC.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Department of Justice or other federal civilian support.
  • ITIL Foundation; CHAMP or CITAM.
  • Active Public Trust.
  • Strong customer service in a regulated government culture.
