About the Opportunity:

ZipStaff is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support enterprise model-analytics technology at a leading financial services organization focused on housing finance and mortgage portfolio analytics.

You will work with Finance business partners to design and deliver a web application that supports model analytics for a large mortgage portfolio. This is a hands-on delivery role: Java / Spring Boot on the back end, Angular on the front end, and close partnership with business and technology teams.

What You'll Do:

Design, develop, and deliver full-stack features for a Finance web application supporting mortgage portfolio model analytics.
Build and maintain Java services using Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
Develop Angular / TypeScript front-end components that are secure, responsive, and production-ready.
Work with relational databases and SQL; apply ORM patterns where appropriate.
Troubleshoot and optimize applications for security, performance, and responsiveness.
Use Gradle and Jenkins for build and CI; GitHub or Bitbucket for source control.
Write unit and mock-based tests (JUnit / Mockito), including positive and negative cases.
Produce clear code documentation and partner with business and technology stakeholders.
Work in Agile / Scrum and adapt quickly as priorities change.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
4+ years of hands-on Java development (Java 8+ language and standard library).
Strong experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
Hands-on Angular and TypeScript on production web applications.
Solid SQL and relational database experience.
Experience with Gradle and Jenkins.
Version control with GitHub or Bitbucket.
Experience with JUnit / Mockito (or equivalent) and automated testing.
Ability to write documentation that explains technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to partner with business stakeholders.
Ability to work on-site in McLean, VA.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

Object-relational mapping (ORM) frameworks.
Application performance diagnostics and analytics tools.
AI-assisted automated test suite development.
Experience in financial services, mortgage, or portfolio-analytics applications.
