About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking a senior Business Process Consultant to lead functional solution design and process improvement initiatives for a global technology services organization.
In this role, you will build trusted, long-term customer relationships by delivering exceptional consulting, managing end-to-end process improvements, and translating complex business requirements into ServiceNow configuration needs and user stories. You will act as the functional solution lead on smaller projects, coach junior consultants, and ensure solutions follow leading practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead less complex / smaller teams as the functional solution lead.
- Specialize in 1–2 ServiceNow offerings and position for deeper expertise and career growth.
- Translate complex business requirements into configuration needs and author user stories for Agile development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation; share insights with product teams and lead best practices.
- Coach and mentor junior team members (Business Process Consultants and Associate BPCs) on solutioning and project challenges.
- Share learnings and new practices across the BPC community.
- Apply ServiceNow knowledge and domain expertise to design efficient workflows based on product capabilities and leading practices.
- Participate in customer workshops to gather requirements and define future-state processes.
- Draft user stories and train customers to create their own user stories, acceptance criteria, testing strategies, and knowledge transfer materials.
- Support customers in reviewing and approving user stories and related documentation.
- Contribute actively to leading practices related to the ServiceNow platform and workflows.
- Provide feedback to product development based on customer experiences.
- Maintain relevant skills and certifications for assigned workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in a professional services organization (or equivalent).
- Proven experience acting as a functional solution lead on ServiceNow or similar enterprise platform engagements.
- Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into configuration needs and well-formed user stories.
- Experience leading workshops, gathering requirements, and defining future-state processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior consultants.
- Strong analytical skills with success driving complex issues through analysis and resolution.
- Ability to run projects independently and work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging or critically evaluating AI tools to optimize workflows, tailor solutions, or support decision-making.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow certifications in aligned workflows.
- Relevant industry domain expertise.
- Prior experience contributing to product feedback loops or leading practice communities.
