Job Title: Certified Scrum Lead / Agile Delivery Lead
Location: Spring, TX (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)
Note: This is a Contract-to-Hire (CTH) role, not full-time permanent.

About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Scrum Lead / Agile Delivery Lead to drive Agile delivery across cross-functional technology teams for a global technology services firm.
This role requires someone who can go beyond facilitating Agile ceremonies and actively drive execution, challenge assumptions, identify risks and impediments early, improve accountability, and maintain focus on measurable delivery and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Own sprint execution and drive predictable delivery outcomes.
  • Challenge estimates, scope, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery timelines.
  • Identify delivery risks and impediments early and drive them to closure.
  • Maintain strong Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) practices.
  • Improve sprint predictability and minimize spillovers.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized backlog.
  • Work across multidisciplinary teams involving product, engineering, QA, data, and business SMEs.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Use Agile metrics including velocity, throughput, sprint predictability, spillover, and defects to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coach teams on Agile and Lean principles while maintaining a strong focus on practical delivery outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
  • 10–15+ years of technology/software delivery experience.
  • 5+ years as a Scrum Master, Scrum Lead, or Agile Delivery Lead.
  • Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, and Lean delivery practices.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology teams.
  • Strong facilitation, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience managing risks, dependencies, and impediments.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or comparable Agile lifecycle tools.
  • Ability to interpret delivery metrics and translate them into actionable improvements.
  • Ability to work on-site in Spring, TX.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oil & Gas / Energy domain experience.
  • Experience working with business SMEs, engineers, or other domain specialists.
  • Exposure to Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, or AI-enabled products.
  • Understanding of data pipelines, data quality, analytics workflows, and data-driven application development.
  • Experience supporting Agile teams consisting of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, or Analytics professionals.
  • Experience translating Data Science or analytical experimentation into prioritized product backlogs.
