Job Title: OCM & Supplier Management Lead
Location: Washington, DC (On-site)
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)
About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced OCM & Supplier Management Lead to serve as the critical strategic liaison between the Supplier Management Office and the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team for a leading transportation organization.
In this pivotal role, you will evaluate existing vendor workflows, eliminate manual redundancies, and spearhead the digitization and standardization of end-to-end supplier lifecycle practices. By combining rigorous vendor governance with structured change methodologies (such as Prosci ADKAR and SAFe), you will design and implement centralized workflows, robust compliance controls, and actionable reporting dashboards, while driving comprehensive communication, training, and stakeholder adoption strategies across the enterprise. This is an on-site role in Washington, DC.
What You’ll Do:
- Assess current supplier management processes, manual trackers, and reporting tools to identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies; design current-state and future-state process maps to transition manual activities into centralized, scalable digital workflows.
- Facilitate structured working sessions across business units and procurement to gather requirements, validate operational processes, evaluate dashboard needs, and accelerate the adoption of new standardized tools.
- Create, standardize, and maintain enterprise playbooks, operating procedures (SOPs), intake workflows, and templates for Statements of Work (SOWs), RFIs, RFPs, onboarding, ongoing performance reviews, and offboarding.
- Build, maintain, and operationalize reporting models and executive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Jira to monitor supplier selection, contract status, performance trends, SLA compliance, and open action items.
- Establish a comprehensive supplier performance framework—including KPIs, balanced scorecards, and governance cadences—while identifying compliance and vendor financial risks to ensure audit-readiness and clear escalation paths.
- Formulate and execute structured change management strategies (utilizing ADKAR, Kotter, or related frameworks), delivering role-based training materials, job aids, user guides, and clear multi-channel communications to embed new ways of working.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven track record in supplier management, vendor operations, procurement transformation, process improvement, or enterprise governance initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of the complete vendor and contract lifecycle, including intake, sourcing/RFP support, selection criteria, onboarding, risk and financial management, performance scorecards, and contract renewals/offboarding.
- Demonstrated hands-on ability to digitize manual processes using collaboration and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Copilot, Figma, or advanced Excel.
- Strong background in organizational change management (OCM), stakeholder engagement, continuous improvement, and agile delivery frameworks.
- Active certification in change management or agile methodologies strongly preferred (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, Certified Change Management Professional [CCMP], SAFe, or Lean Six Sigma).
- Exceptional verbal, written, and executive presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to navigate complex matrixed environments and build trusted partnerships with cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience leading supplier management or procurement transformation initiatives in transportation, rail, or highly regulated operational environments.
- Hands-on experience building and operationalizing executive dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Jira for supplier performance and compliance.
- Strong track record of driving stakeholder adoption of standardized digital workflows through structured OCM methodologies.
- Experience establishing supplier performance frameworks, KPIs, and governance cadences for audit readiness.
Benefits:
- Health Insurance.
- Dental Insurance.
- Vision Insurance.
- 401(k) + 401(k) matching.
- Paid time off.
