About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is hiring a Mobile Deployment Specialist for our client, a major U.S. transportation organization based in Washington, DC. You will support hands-on configuration, logistics and rollout of enterprise mobile devices, working closely with Digital Technology teams, Supplier Management and an on-site Change Management Coordinator. The role requires regular nationwide travel (25-50%) to mechanical shops, rail yards and maintenance facilities.

What You'll Do:
  • Execute zero-touch enrollment workflows and configuration profiles using Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager.
  • Manage end-to-end device delivery tracking, returns, depot repairs, hardware swaps and asset management.
  • Travel nationwide (25-50%) to support on-site device distribution, Wi-Fi/network authentication and login verification.
  • Coordinate with hardware vendors, telecom carriers and provisioning depots on staging batches, SIM activation and accessory fulfillment.
  • Triage and resolve enrollment failures, credential issues, app installation errors and compliance flags.
  • Track rollout status, device inventory and failure rates using Excel, SharePoint, Jira or ServiceNow.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of hands-on enterprise MDM experience with Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager (iOS/iPadOS staging).
  • Background coordinating physical device rollouts, hardware asset tracking and depot/supplier handoffs.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide 25-50% to industrial environments.
  • Solid understanding of mobile OS settings, Wi-Fi/cellular provisioning, app deployment and identity/access checks.
  • Experience maintaining distribution logs, updating Jira tickets and following cybersecurity/compliance standards.
