About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an IT Project Manager for a statewide device procurement and deployment program at a Texas state legal agency.
You will run procurement, configuration, scheduling, deployment, and close-out of new devices for Admin and Legal staff across the state. This is an 8-year PM seat that owns vendors, logistics, and executive reporting—not a coordinator role.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle for new devices: procurement, configuration, scheduling, deployment, and close-out.
- Organize a mixed team of technical and operations talent.
- Run stakeholder meetings, keep communications tight, and report program status with high transparency.
- Coordinate SDLC / PMBOK / Agile delivery, change management, and enterprise IT operations touchpoints.
- Manage multiple vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Track work in MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years progressive IT project management.
- Must live within 50 miles of Austin, TX and work hybrid on-site / telework.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Led hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs.
- Logistics for deployments of 800+ devices.
- SDLC, PMBOK, Agile coordination, change management, enterprise IT operations.
- Clear communication with executives, technical teams, and end users.
- Multi-vendor and cross-functional team management.
- MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, Teams.
- PMP, CSM, or ITIL.
- Texas state agency or statewide IT experience.
