About the Opportunity:
ZipStaff is seeking an Instructional Designer & Business Analyst for a major passenger-rail and transportation organization in Washington, DC.
You will capture functional requirements and turn complex workflows into SharePoint content, Visio flows, and visual training. This is a dual BA + instructional design seat—not a standalone trainer and not a Jira-only BA.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with business and technical staff on business cases, functional/technical requirements, Visio process flows, and use cases.
- Maintain educational resources and UI materials on SharePoint and other CMS tools.
- Design graphics, visual assets, and instructional communications.
- Bridge non-technical stakeholders and development teams.
- Audit and standardize UI materials, documentation, and digital assets for internal use.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years combined business analysis and instructional/visual design.
- At least 3 years gathering business/functional requirements, use cases, and structured documentation.
- At least 3 years designing graphic-based communications and visual learning materials.
- SharePoint authoring/administration.
- Advanced Word, PowerPoint, and Vision.
- Strong written and verbal communication with business and technical audiences.
- Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Transportation operations, travel, or airline/rail environments.
- Graphic production tools beyond PowerPoint.
- Content-management / knowledge-base ownership.
