Job Title: HIT – Epic Ambulatory Analyst
Location: Remote (U.S.) | Eden Prairie, MN team
Employment Type: Contract (W2 through ZipStaff — No C2C or 1099)
About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking an Epic Ambulatory Analyst to support outpatient clinical applications for a major healthcare organization.
You will design, build, test, and support EpicCare Ambulatory workflows — including upgrades, enhancements, production monitoring, and help-desk / on-call support. This role requires a current Epic Ambulatory certification and current CEE. Uncertified or inpatient-only Epic analysts will not be a fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide design, build, and testing expertise for EpicCare Ambulatory / outpatient clinical applications.
- Collaborate with end users to configure, correct, and enhance the Epic system.
- Lead small-to-medium Epic upgrade or workflow-enhancement work (design, build, test).
- Participate in design and validation sessions; document, follow up, and escalate issues..
- Provide technical and clinical consultation, including application configuration..
- Analyze system needs and recommend solutions.
- Maintain system design, build, and other required documentation.
- Monitor production applications daily.
- Perform unit, system, and integrated testing for Ambulatory workflows.
- Support help-desk incidents, including 24/7 on-call as required.
- Analyze workflows, data collection, reports, and technical issues.
- Partner with trainers on Ambulatory training materials.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications; manage change control.
- Review and test new releases; troubleshoot end-user issues.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on Epic application experience.
- Active / current Epic Ambulatory certification.
- Completed Epic CEE to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges.
- Proven Epic build, test, support, and training experience for Ambulatory workflows.
- Ability to support production issues and participate in on-call coverage.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work remote aligned to the Eden Prairie, MN team.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional Epic outpatient or related certifications / badges.
- Prior work leading upgrade or workflow-redesign initiatives.
- Large integrated-delivery or payer/provider Epic environment.
