About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking an experienced Epic Cadence / Prelude Analyst to support patient access and revenue cycle operations at a healthcare organization.
This role focuses on the configuration, build, optimization, and support of Epic Cadence (Scheduling) and Prelude (Registration) applications. The ideal candidate is an active Epic-certified analyst who can translate operational requirements into high-quality system solutions, support upgrades, resolve issues, and serve as a subject matter expert for the team.
What You’ll Do:
- Configure and build Epic Cadence and Prelude applications while adhering to industry and client standards.
- Translate business and operational requirements into clear functional and technical design specifications.
- Lead and participate in design, build, and testing activities for Epic upgrades and workflow enhancements.
- Conduct design and validation sessions, ensuring thorough documentation, follow-up, and timely issue escalation.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert to both internal team members and client stakeholders.
- Act as a liaison between Operations, IT, and third-party systems.
- Provide application support for incidents and service requests.
- Support go-live activities and system upgrades.
- Analyze workflows, data collection, reporting needs, and technical issues related to Cadence and Prelude.
- Partner with training teams to develop and maintain application-specific training materials.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Epic functionality and related revenue cycle operational workflows.
- Build collaborative relationships with end users, business partners, and project teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Active / current Epic Cadence and Prelude certifications (required).
- 4+ years of healthcare industry experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience supporting Epic applications in a client environment.
- Strong subject matter expertise in Cadence and Prelude.
- Solid understanding of revenue cycle metrics, KPIs, and process improvement concepts.
- Experience with patient access related functionality (e.g., Welcome, Hello World, E-Signature, RTE, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional clinical and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional Epic certifications or badges (Welcome, RTE, Hello World, or similar).
- Completed Epic Continuing Education (CEE) to maintain certifications.
- Experience mentoring other analysts or supporting large-scale Epic upgrade projects.
- Deeper knowledge of revenue cycle operational policies and procedures.
