About the Opportunity
ZipStaff is seeking a Business Readiness & Deployment Lead to support Downstream capability rollout for a global technology services organization working with a major energy / oil & gas operator in Houston, TX.
You will ensure Downstream business organizations are prepared to adopt and deploy new capabilities, processes, and technologies. This role owns readiness planning, stakeholder engagement, training and adoption, deployment preparation, and post-go-live stabilization so operational disruption stays low and business value is realized.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead business readiness and deployment activities for Downstream releases.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption efforts.
- Assess readiness, identify gaps, and drive mitigation plans.
- Support testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Manage deployment risks, issues, and resource requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, operations, project teams, and deployment teams.
- Ensure successful business adoption and realization of expected benefits.
- Apply strong project governance across readiness and deployment workstreams.
Required Qualifications:
- 7–8+ years of experience leading business readiness, organizational change, or deployment activities on enterprise programs.
- Proven experience coordinating stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and adoption.
- Experience supporting testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Strong project governance skills, including risk, issue, and resource management.
- Ability to assess readiness, identify gaps, and drive mitigation plans.
- Excellent communication and liaison skills across business, operations, and project teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Houston, TX.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Domain experience in the Oil & Gas / Downstream industry.
- Prior experience on multi-release enterprise transformation or SAP / digital deployment programs.
- Experience in Houston energy-operator environments.
