Overview:
ZipStaff is hiring a Business Analyst (HR) for our client, a major Midwest utility. As a Workday BA, you will bridge business stakeholders and technical teams—translating workforce, financial, and operational goals into scalable Workday configurations and enhancements.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead discovery workshops to gather, document, and prioritize moderate-to-complex requirements; translate them into Workday configuration specifications.
  • Map current- and future-state workflows and manage Workday business process flows.
  • Configure and support Workday workstreams such as HCM/Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Learning, Absence, Time Tracking, and Financials.
  • Support UAT/QA, develop test scenarios, and troubleshoot system and integration issues.
  • Help design Workday reports, dashboards, data loads, and security permissions.
  • Support integrations, change management, and training; act as BA point of contact on Agile teams; partner with vendors and coach teammates.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably mathematics, computer science, or business).
  • 3+ years of experience with IT systems/projects, including Business Analyst experience.
  • 3+ years in a customer-service-oriented and/or IT-related field.
  • Familiarity with Workday architecture, business process frameworks, and at least one core module.
  • Solid knowledge of business analysis principles, ERP/SaaS applications, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and change-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Workday experience, including hands-on configuration, testing, reporting, or support of one or more Workday modules.
